A Visitor RFID Key is a RFID card/knob that gives the key holder access to one or several chargers in the local Charge System. A Visitor RFID Key is not the same thing as a RFID key in the app, which is connected to personal CloudCharge User Account.
There are some constraints to use an Visitor RFID Key:
- The Visitor RFID Key can only be used in one Charge System.
- The Visitor RFID Key can’t be used to receive payment for charging in CloudCharge. If you use Visitor RFID Keys, the handling of payments must be managed outside CloudCharge.
- The Visitor RFID Key is not connected to an app user. This means that the key holder won’t be able to use the app to see their charging history or receipts for reimbursement.
- The Visitor RFID Key is managed by the Admins of the Charge System.
The RFID Key in app is a RFID card/knob that is connected to a personal CloudCharge User Account and will identify the user when authentication is required to use a specific charger. A RFID Key in app can be used on all private chargers the user has been invited to use, and on any public charger with payment in the CloudCharge charger network.
Visitor RFID Key
- Anonymous, not connected to a User.
- The key holder doesn’t have to register a User account.

- Only used to unlock the charger to charge.
- Every key is managed by the Admins of the Charge System
RFID key in App
- Personal, connected to a User account
- The key holder must have a User account

- Used to unlock the charger and to pay for charging
- The User is responsible for their key(s). The User can add more than one keys to their profile, e.g. their spouse can use another key but still be charged on the same payment card.
The Organization owns the charging stations and is a customer of CloudCharge. An Organization consists of Charge Systems, which are facilities equipped with chargers. The chargers in a Charge System are in the same neighborhood and will be managed as a unit. Read more about Charge Systems. Charge Systems can in turn be divided into Charger Groups, which have different settings or distinct positions on the map but are still in the same neighborhood. Read more about Charger Groups.
The hierarchy could, for example, look like this:
Organization: Company ABC
- Charge system 1: Office Gothenburg
- Group 1: Employee parking
- Group 2: Visitor parking
- Charge system 2: Office Stockholm
- Group 1: Street parking
- Group 2: Garage parking
Start by navigating to the charger that you want to restart, and click on the gear icon. Find “Charge Point” in the left panel and scroll all the way down until you see the restart button. Read more Charger status and details.
