Our Solutions

Housing Cooperatives

CloudCharge offers a seamless solution with several different ways to charge for electricity usage. For example, residents can be billed monthly, and in Sweden it is possible to use Individual Metering and Billing. Simple and user-friendly — both for you as the facility owner and for the residents.

Are you responsible for EV charging in your housing cooperative?

If you are responsible for EV charging in a housing cooperative, many questions can arise. Do any of these challenges sound familiar?

  • Difficulty setting fair and accurate electricity prices.
  • Time-consuming manual invoicing and payment handling.
  • The need for a consistent and reliable charging service for residents.
  • Lack of clear insights into charger usage.
  • Risk of unauthorized use of the charging facility.

Here’s how CloudCharge addresses your challenges

Access Management

Give and remove charging access for residents — smoothly and efficiently.

Access Management

Give and remove charging access for residents — smoothly and efficiently.
And it should be easy to charge the car. Thanks to the CloudCharge Go service — included in your subscription — visitors can start charging without needing an app or a CloudCharge account.

Example

A new resident moves in and is granted access with just a few clicks. At the same time, another resident moves out and their access is easily removed. This ensures reliable and secure management of the cooperative’s charging stations. It also ensures that only authorized users have access to the chargers.

Flexible Pricing

Take control of the finances by setting the price for electricity consumption yourself.

Flexible Pricing

Take control of the finances by setting the price for electricity consumption yourself.
In housing cooperatives, there are several different ways to charge for electricity. You can set a price per kilowatt-hour, per hour, or both. You can also choose to have different pricing for residents and visitors. Want to offer residents a discount? No problem — you decide what works best for your housing cooperative.

Example

You have invested in a charging facility and wants to recover the investment through electricity consumption. The housing cooperative sets a higher price per kilowatt-hour to help balance the costs. This contributes to stronger long-term financial sustainability.

Payment Management

With our solution, your revenue flow becomes both simpler and more secure.

Payment Management

With our solution, your revenue flow becomes both simpler and more secure.
When setting up a charging system where you want to charge users directly, you as the facility owner create a Stripe account. To receive payments, your housing cooperative will have its own bank account via Stripe, the global payment provider. This means the transaction is made between the end-user and the housing cooperative — not between the end-user and CloudCharge. The advantage is a stable and secure financial platform that handles payments and ensures compliance with all legal requirements for banking transactions.

Residents can pay directly by card or choose invoice billing. If it is a Swedish property that uses Individual Metering and Billing (IMD) for EV charging, the cost is charged directly on the resident’s regular electricity bill — without any extra subscriptions or complicated payment flows. With CloudCharge, payments are both fair and seamless; each resident pays for their own charging, just like their other electricity usage.

Our service is adapted to the EU AFIR regulation, which means your charging system meets the EU’s requirements for secure, reliable, and user-friendly solutions. This includes clear pricing, simple on-site payment options, and high availability and security for both the facility and users.

Example

A resident ends their charging session, and the cost is automatically charged to their account. This minimizes the risk of late or missed payments.

Charger Monitoring

Keep track of your charging infrastructure easily and efficiently.

Charger Monitoring

Keep track of your charging infrastructure easily and efficiently.

Example

A facility owner receives a real-time notification that a charging station has stopped functioning.
Proactive monitoring minimizes downtime, ensures a reliable charging experience for residents, and extends the lifespan of the equipment.

Clear Reports

Receive reports on everything from user behavior to charging status.

Clear Reports

Receive reports on everything from user behavior to charging status. With these insights, you can make well-informed decisions for the benefit of the housing cooperative.

Example

A board member needs to present the charging occupancy rate at the next board meeting. He prepares by analyzing the reports provided by CloudCharge.
In the long run, this leads to better resource allocation, higher resident satisfaction, and optimized use of the infrastructure.
