CloudCharge is a Charge Station Management System (CSMS) that offers streamlined billing and charger management. CloudCharge consists of CloudCharge portal for facility owners and admins, CloudCharge app and CloudCharge Go for end-users.

With CloudCharge, it is possible to receive payments for EV charging through two methods:

  • Direct payment by credit card (both public and private chargers)
  • Monthly invoice (private chargers)

The facility owner can define on the portal all details related to payments, fees and user rights. After you have created CloudCharge account and activated CloudCharge subscription you can decide how you want to receive payments. Please see instructions how to create CloudCharge account.

What is Stripe and where do you need it for?

To ensure secure payments and seamless payment process, we have partnered with payment service provider called Stripe Express.

Without Stripe account you are not able to receive payments for your chargers, but you can still see usage and manage user accesses. If you want to receive payments for EV charging, you need to set up Stripe account on CloudCharge portal. Read more on How to create a Stripe Express Account. The detailed information required by Stripe is a part of their commitment to comply with stringent Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, ensuring a safe and reliable financial environment for your business operations.

Treat Stripe account like it was your personal bank account

Stripe account is the key for all money transfers between facility owners, end-users and CloudCharge.  Stripe account contains delegate personal data such as birthdates or private addresses so you should restrict the admin access to your account. You can treat your Stripe account as if it was your own bank account. We recommend that the same person, who is responsible for bank accounts in your organization, has also Stripe account.

Ensure your organization always has access

If your Stripe account is linked to one person’s email, access can be lost when roles change. Best practice is to use a shared organization/board email and add multiple administrators.
